As of this morning, Jolly Roger needs 501 more miles than he'd be 100k miles old! As my first car, this is pretty much epic. It means I've stuck with him since 36k miles, which I'm personally proud of. As opposed to just 'getting a new car'. I'm telling you guys, he's the best PT Cruiser in existence.
And I've calculated when he should roughly roll over. It should be either next Tuesday or Wednesday, approximately. As long as I keep my current rate of 78 miles a work day (excluding Monday, when I work from home), 20 miles this Saturday (for my kids bday, and grace miles), and 60 miles Sunday for church (adding in grace miles again). So I'm excited, :).

Thats good. I am approaching a big "milestone" (haha) too.
I will hit 124274.238 miles soon. Which of course would 200,000 kms on my metric odometer!!!!

We should form a club. I did all but 27 of those miles.

My next goal is 136k, because that would mean I've driven 100k miles on one car! Heck yeah!!!

I'm hoping this club will have a secret handshake and silly hats. Because every club should have those two things.

Yawn. At one point last year, my driveway had a 150,000 mile WRX, a 140,000 mile TDI and a 275,000 mile Mercedes. Now it has just a 155,000 mile TDI and a 10,000 mile Focus ST.

And you aren't proud at all for putting those miles on your cars? Jolly Roger may not be a high mileage car, but I've personally added about 60% of the current mileage myself. I'm very proud of that fact, and the miles and fun are gonna keep on coming too.

Until I hit 150,000 miles, I feel like I haven't gotten my moneys worth out of a car bought new. I'd still be driving the WRX if it hadn't been disintegrating from rust!
I do celebrate one thing during the ownership of a car bought new — PAYING IT THE FUCK OFF!
